Das Draht- und Seilwerk Rothenburg ist 1990 durch Umwandlung in eine Kapitalgesellschaft aus dem ehemaligen VEB Draht- und Seilwerk Rothenburg hervorgegangen und wurden 1992 durch die WDI-Gruppe privatisiert.

Emerging out of the Draht- und Seilwerke Rothenburg, by transformation of the VEB Draht- und Seilwerk Rothenburg in 1990, was a joint-stock company, which in 1992, was privatized by the WDI group
